In 2014, I decided to follow the route of the Klondike Gold Rush miners and beyond to better understand the history of Alaska. Just like the miners, I hopped a ferry north from the lower 48 to travel the inside passage all the way to Skagway, Alaska. From there I hiked the Chilkoot Trail to Lake Bennett, paddled to Marsh Lake, and then down the Yukon River for 2,000 miles until I reached the Bering Sea.
For fun I put together a little video series about my trip. I had no filming experience at the time but had a lot of fun. Enjoy one of the videos is below.
