A Film Documenting the Coldest Camel Expedition in the World

In the dead of winter, a team travels across Mongolia’s Gobi Desert by camel, guided by skilled herders through extreme cold, snow, and challenging terrain. Along the way, they spend time with nomadic families, gaining a deeper understanding of the traditions, resilience, and rhythms of life in one of Mongolia’s most remote regions.

Each year, the Big Blue Flower team undertakes this demanding winter journey, embracing the challenges of the Gobi while celebrating the people who call it home. Central to their mission is supporting Mongolia’s nomadic herders and recognizing the knowledge, skills, and traditions that have sustained their way of life for generations.

The Gobi Cold Camel Expedition offers a rare glimpse into winter life in the Gobi Desert, where the relationship between people, animals, and the land remains at the heart of an enduring nomadic culture.
